11 March 2013 ACCA held our first Alternative Finance Conference at ACCA’s headquarters in London.
The period from 2009 to 2012 saw an explosion in new innovative models for business financing, using technology to break through market imperfections that businesses and finance providers had long taken for granted. ACCA has followed their progress carefully and organised an event to look into the developments in more detail.
This high-profile event, introduced by ACCA's Chief Executive, Helen Brand, and the Consumer Affairs Minister, Jo Swinson, provided an opportunity for our members to hear about some of the latest alternatives to bank finance from the UK's most innovative finance providers, and decide for themselves whether their offering can live up to the hype and help their businesses or clients.
