SME Finance Forum member Xero, along with DBS, have expanded their partnership to help SMEs simplify bill payments by launching an industry-first online payments solution to help start-ups and SMEs manage their cashflow needs better.

The DBS-Xero payment solution addresses payment problems among SMEs caused by finance-related concerns such as cash flow problems. This is an issue which plagues more than 1 in 3 SMEs in Singapore.

Access to financing a growing challenge for SMEs in Singapore: Survey

Access to financing has emerged as a growing challenge faced by small and medium-sized enterprises, according to the latest SME Development Survey which polled 2,513 local enterprises across a range of sectors. According to the findings released on Wednesday (Nov 2), 22 per cent of respondents said they face financing issues, up from 14 per cent last year.

DBS unveils tech solution matching platform for SMEs

More help is on the way for Singapore SMEs to embark on innovation projects to solve business problems and build capabilities. DBS - together with Infocomm Investments (IIPL) and Intellectual Property Intermediary Singapore (IPI) - on Monday launched an initiative that will allow SMEs to submit a business problem online and be matched with a tech solution provider.Through the new platform, DBS TechMatch, SMEs will be able to define and propose a business problem, such as in logistics systems or customer relationship management.
